Crocheted Fried Egg Pattern by Elaine Zelker

In case you have been doubting whether you should bother creating your own Mission Statement, I can tell you that when you find and define your own mission, your life will 100% change for the better. It’s much simpler that you’d expect, yet the effects are profound! Here are my top 6 reasons:   #1   Creating and Living out your mission will help define what is important to you. It will shift the way you make decisions in your everyday life.#2   This new way of living will change who you align with and who you decide to spend your time with.#3   You will be motivated to live a deliberate life because your vision and values come into play to help you live out your mission.#4   When you start living the life you were meant to live, you will become a magnet for all the things that support your mission.#5   Your life will become easier because when you are aligned with your mission, you know when to say no, and when to say yes.#6   You become more confident in your decisions, and recognize your strengths and, in turn, increase your self-confidence! When you create and live out your personal mission, it will feel like your soul is on fire and you are now in the right place, at the right time. You will know what feels right and what feels wrong in an instant (especially when your values ...

DIY: EASY HOMEMADE BATH BOMBS (BATH FIZZIES)

Crocheted Fried Egg Pattern by Elaine Zelker

Let’s make some Easy Homemade DIY Bath Bombs (Bath Fizzies) I have three very lovely daughters, but when we hit the mall and shop, it’s not only hard on my feet, it’s hard on my wallet! Especially when we go into “bath shops”.  The girls love to take baths, but the price for ONE bath bomb can average between $6.95-over $10 each! So, you know me….I go home, find some great recipes, and after some trial and error, come up with the best concoction to create my own!! When done, you will have about 20 Fizzie bombs that will scent and soften bath water as they bubble. They make great gifts for all the ladies on your list, including teens,  mothers, grandmothers, aunts, and besties.Play around with different colors and scents; mix blue and red to make purple, for example, or try blending scents! (If you are going to make more than one recipe, I suggest buying the baking soda, citric acid, oils and molds on Amazon (links included) in bulk, the rest can be found at the grocery store/craft store.)INGREDIENTS/SUPPLIES:Baking SodaCitric AcidCornstarchCane SugarSpray BottleFood ColoringGlass BowlsMeasuring CupsEssential Oils(s) (Peppermint, Lavender, or your fave!)Plastic Molds (I used plastic soap molds)Sealed JarRibbonFlour Sifter Directions: DRY ingredients: Combine 1 Cup Citric Acid, 1-3/4 ...

The Importance of Being Grateful

Crocheted Fried Egg Pattern by Elaine Zelker

As humans, to be grateful is not as “natural” as you think. Take a look at your social media…it’s seems to be much easier for people to complain and spew hateful words and share pain and hardship, then to elude love for others and themselves.  You’ll see things like relationship struggles, a friend complaining about a bad commute or an accident, a messy house, bad service at a restaurant..I could go on and on. Whatever the reason, most people focus on the negative, focusing on the things they DON’T have or coming up with excuses for their own mishaps.I even spend most days behind the camera listening to people criticize themselves with words like:“I’m too fat!”“I can’t do this.”“Make me look different.”All of this negativity leads to a sense of powerlessness over how we feel! And even funnier, the more you do it, the more you attract more of the same into your life.Because Misery attracts Misery. This makes me so sad. I was there.12-13 years ago when I could have lived in my sadness and misery…I just lost both of my parents and got divorced. It felt normal to feel out of sorts. It felt normal for me to go with the status quo and just “be”…Until I woke up.A mentor of mine introduced me to small book called “The Greatest Salesman in the World,” by ...

"So my mission, and my personal mission in life, which then carries through into my business is to live a life that is free from excess so that I can make room for the things that are important to me. That is why we work on decluttering. That is why we get organized. That is why we let go of the extra stuff that's weighing us down, because it's just preventing us from the important stuff in life. So that's the mission of my life and my business."- Sarah Mueller, The Decluttering Clubwww.earlybirdmom.com
